Swapna Namboodiri, an Environmental Artist, transforms found and discarded materials, including single-use plastics, into captivating assemblages, installations, and sculptural artworks. Sustainability is at the core of her artistic practice, with nature serving as her primary muse. In her mixed media works, she skillfully captures the allure of organic textures and patterns that surround her, offering viewers a visual feast.
Inspired by the repetitive and organic patterns inherent in natural elements, Swapna has carved out her unique niche in the art world by employing unconventional materials. Over the past 9 years residing in Qatar, she has not only created commissioned artworks and installations for esteemed clients but has also been recognized as a featured artist on Saatchi Art’s ‘New Perspectives 2022.’
Swapna’s noteworthy achievement includes her art installation ‘Re-live Tree,’ showcased at the FIFA Fan Festival’s ‘Education Above All’ pavilion during the FIFA World Cup 2022. Her distinctive installation was also featured in the Expo pavilion at the Qatar Economic Forum 2023, further solidifying her impact on the global art scene.
