Nosheen Iqbal

Originally from Surrey, England, Nosheen Iqbal moved to Texas in her teens, earning a BA with an outstanding portfolio award in Communication Design from the University of North Texas. With over a decade at Fossil, she excelled in design, art direction, and led as a watch designer. Collaborating with brands like DKNY, Armani Exchange, and Opening Ceremony, she's now a versatile artist in product design, development, illustration, and graphic design.

Rooted in her Pakistani heritage, Nosheen Iqbal draws inspiration from the country’s rich history of pigment dyeing and embroidery techniques, each province contributing unique traditions. Influenced by Islamic Art’s intricate patterns, she transforms classical elements into a contemporary form of decoration and design.

From a young age, she explored sewing and embroidering, blending mixed media textiles with unconventional techniques. Beyond personal projects, she collaborated on extraordinary installations for brands like Hermes and worked with Fossil, Opening Ceremony, and Virgin Voyages. Her charitable pieces have supported organizations such as Dwell with Dignity, The Warren Center, ICNA, and the Humane League.

In her textile work, she explores the interplay of color, stitch, and motif, viewing textiles as a pillar of art, culture, religion, and status. Her collection highlights a fusion of Islamic geometrical forms with colored embroidery lines, creating a vibrant dance of light and color reminiscent of architectural play.
